The Killing House by Claire McGowan

Published by Headline in paperback and e book on Sept 6th 2018

I enjoyed this read. There was a good story here with believable characters, however With this being the sixth book in a series I believe I would have felt more of a connection with them if I had read some of the other books.

It is set at the very end of the troubles as the cease fires are being negotiated. On one hand there is a rush to peace but also a need to settle old scores without threatening the end plan. There were parts that I found very informative.

There are two strands of the story that are paced differently and I felt that they worked and overlapped in a very imaginative way which made the story flow very well.

A good read but I would recommend reading as part of a series to get a better feel for the characters.
