Bellevue Square by Michael Redhill

I enjoyed reading this novel. A quirky read that follows a character called Jean who is introduced to us as a wife and mother, recently moved to Toronto and runs a book shop. However all is not what it seems. Two of Jean’s customers insist they have seen Jean’s doppelgänger, and becoming concerned and increasingly intrigued Jean sets out to find her. It becomes an obsession and soon reality becomes blurred.

A very original book about the way the mind can become distorted in its perception of self awareness.

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
